Kenz turned 11. We had a fun sleepover at the Pointe, they have swimmings pools, water slides and mini golfing.

Kenzie and her friends

I graduated from cosmetology school!!! Yay! Glad to be done but I miss the girls soooooo much!!

Free Haircut

No, I DO NOT give away free services but Malloree sure does!! She is so creative!! I cleaned through my school kit this weekend and she wanted to check out what was inside. Malloree thought it was a great idea to make her own kit. She got some paper and a pen and started drawing. She drew a blow dryer, curling iron, comb, brush and hairspray. She cut her hairdressing supplies out and made a "bag" to keep them in. It was so funny, she did all the construction of the bag and the supplies on her own! Malloree labeled the kit "hair design bag". She really wanted clients, obviously, free haircuts is a great marketing technique!

Flip Flops

For the past week or so I have been seriously obsessed with summer clothes, flip flops in particular. I can't stop thinking of them! All the different styles, colors, embellishments, etc. It's too much! I can't take it! I can't buy them all. What am I gonna do?

"I Want To Run"

Every Thursday the girls have an evening with Nick's grandparents. They go to dance class, dinner and go back to their house to get changed for bed, then they bring them home at 8pm. Well last night we got a call at 7pm saying Malloree fell and cut her chin. Nick told them to bring her home so we could assess the damages. She came in holding a wet rag to her chin, still crying. I looked at it and knew she needed stitches! We jumped in the car and went to urgent care, she kept saying "I don't want stitches, Mommy". We got to the Dr's office & he confirmed she needed them. She FREAKED!!!! The Dr came in with the tray, she seen the needles and went even more psycho! She was screaming and crying but the Dr was fab! He leaned over and said (in your best Vietnamese voice)
"Malloree, do you trust me?"
Mal nodded
He said "I'm not gonna lie, this is gonna hurt a little but it will stop in a minute and you won't feel anything else"

She calmed down until he came at her face with a needle. She once again went crazy. I'm a [almost] 29 yr old woman and a needle coming at my face is gonna freak me out a little, too.
It ended up not hurt one bit!! NOTHING!! Can you believe that? She ended up getting 4 stitches and an ice cream.
I asked her what she was thinking when they said she needed stitches, she said that she thought "I want to run!" She's so funny, we're so blessed to have 2 amazing little girls!!

She's obviously milking it!

Tagged

On Sam's blog she tagged everybody that looked at it. I had to pick the 6th photo from my 6th file, and post it.
It is from when we went to the Temple in Dec '06.

It was freezing and yes, my nose looks really weird.

Did you not tell them that they were the Lord's chips?

Here are a few funny quotes!

Nacho: I was wondering if you would like to join me in my quarters this night... for some toast.
Nacho Libre

Kip: LaFawnduh is *the* best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm 100% positive she's my soul mate. Don't worry Napoleon, I'm sure there's a babe out there for you too. Peace out.
Napoleon Dynamite

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points.
Billy Madison

Harry: Yeah I called her up, she gave me a bunch of crap about me not listening to her, or something, I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention.
Dumb and Dumber

Stuart: I'm not kidding, that boy's head is like Sputnik; spherical but quite pointy at parts! Now that was offside, wasn't it? He'll be crying himself to sleep tonight, on his huge pillow.
So I Married an Axe Murderer

Veronica: Oh Ron, there are literally thousands of other men that I should be with instead, but I am 72% sure that I love you.
Anchorman

Pedro: Well, what are you going to wear to the dance?
Napoleon Dynamite: Just like a silk shirt or something. What are you gonna wear?
Pedro: Dad has something for me. But you should probably get a suit.
Napoleon Dynamite

Sister EncarnaciĆ³n: Well, my favorite color is light tan. My favorite animal is puppies. I like serving the lord. Hiking, play volleyball...
Nacho: You gotta be kidding me. Everything you just said, is MY favorite thing to do, every day!
Nacho Libre

My friend put love quotes on her blog so I kinda stole her idea!! Thanks Annaka!

Do You Like My Nails?

Last Saturday, Malloree had a birthday party to go to at Pump it Up. Kenz was so bummed she couldn't go too. Nick decided to surprise Kenz and take her to get a manicure and pedicure. She was thrilled!! When I got home she couldn't wait to show me. She got flowers and rhinestones. Both the girls had a blast!

Malloree Bryant

Malloree had her first basketball game Saturday. They had only 2 practices before the game, so we knew it would be interesting! The coach let them decide a name for the team, her suggestion was the Stormy Clouds but the majority voted for the Purple Tigers (my vote would've been for Stormy Clouds, but that just me). The team did well and had a great time. After the game Nick took her to the park and practiced with her.

Malloree with the ball!

Good Game

It was great entertainment for sure!

Daddy Daughter Date

Nick had Friday off and he decided to take the girls to the zoo. The zoo close to our house has a new aquarium so they were all really excited to go check it out. The girls can talk him into just about anything, so of course they went on the rides and saw every single thing there was to see. He spent like $20 on the giraffe and petting zoo food. He even let them feed the monkeys (I'm pretty sure that's against the rules).

They ended up staying all day and had an awesome time together!

Day at the Salon

The girls have been begging to come down to my school to get their hair done, so Nick's grandma, Jerri brought them in on Wednesday. McKenzie loves Taylor Swift so she wanted her hair just like Taylor's. My friend Devin gave her some layers and started curling. It turned out so cute. Kenz couldn't stop talking about how much she loved it. I think it looks really close to Taylor's, don't you?

Mal wanted hers cut like mine. I had her call Nick to ask him, he said "whatever you want". I just couldn't do it so I blamed it on Nick and told her that dad would freak out. She said "I want him to freak out". If that's any indication of what's to come when she's 16 we better watch out!

Happy New Year!

Shelley asked if I would like to be the first to make an entry on our new blog... I thought I'd start by wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! Seriously, does anyone know where the time goes? Talk about a "I told you so". I remember people telling me time flies as a kid and how ridiculous it sounded! What I'd do to go back (just for a day or two) to the days I could ride my bike for hours, literally hours, only coming home for food and drink. Remember those days? Just friends, bikes, games and clubhouses! I, like the rest, have traded all that for co-workers, car payments, children and a mortgage.....and wouldn't trade it for anything.
I can say one thing for certain- Life is truly good. May we all continue to be blessed in the New Year!
