Do You Like My Nails?

Last Saturday, Malloree had a birthday party to go to at Pump it Up. Kenz was so bummed she couldn't go too. Nick decided to surprise Kenz and take her to get a manicure and pedicure. She was thrilled!! When I got home she couldn't wait to show me. She got flowers and rhinestones. Both the girls had a blast!

Malloree Bryant

Malloree had her first basketball game Saturday. They had only 2 practices before the game, so we knew it would be interesting! The coach let them decide a name for the team, her suggestion was the Stormy Clouds but the majority voted for the Purple Tigers (my vote would've been for Stormy Clouds, but that just me). The team did well and had a great time. After the game Nick took her to the park and practiced with her.

Good Game

It was great entertainment for sure!

Daddy Daughter Date

Nick had Friday off and he decided to take the girls to the zoo. The zoo close to our house has a new aquarium so they were all really excited to go check it out. The girls can talk him into just about anything, so of course they went on the rides and saw every single thing there was to see. He spent like $20 on the giraffe and petting zoo food. He even let them feed the monkeys (I'm pretty sure that's against the rules).

They ended up staying all day and had an awesome time together!

Day at the Salon

The girls have been begging to come down to my school to get their hair done, so Nick's grandma, Jerri brought them in on Wednesday. McKenzie loves Taylor Swift so she wanted her hair just like Taylor's. My friend Devin gave her some layers and started curling. It turned out so cute. Kenz couldn't stop talking about how much she loved it. I think it looks really close to Taylor's, don't you?

Mal wanted hers cut like mine. I had her call Nick to ask him, he said "whatever you want". I just couldn't do it so I blamed it on Nick and told her that dad would freak out. She said "I want him to freak out". If that's any indication of what's to come when she's 16 we better watch out!

Happy New Year!

Shelley asked if I would like to be the first to make an entry on our new blog... I thought I'd start by wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! Seriously, does anyone know where the time goes? Talk about a "I told you so". I remember people telling me time flies as a kid and how ridiculous it sounded! What I'd do to go back (just for a day or two) to the days I could ride my bike for hours, literally hours, only coming home for food and drink. Remember those days? Just friends, bikes, games and clubhouses! I, like the rest, have traded all that for co-workers, car payments, children and a mortgage.....and wouldn't trade it for anything.
I can say one thing for certain- Life is truly good. May we all continue to be blessed in the New Year!
