Family visit 2010

Just about every year Nick's sister and parents come out for his birthday. This year was a super fun one. We did lots of shopping, we were on a mission to find Mal a new pair of sparkley ballet flats. The guys had fun golfing. We made a visit to the Chinese Cultural Center were each of us seen the herbalist and were prescibed a magic teas. It was a blast!
BTW Nick's mom ordered Mal a pair of flats but she is still wearing the beautiful red ones.

Kenzie and Kirby

Kenzie's first year in 4-h was amazing. Her pig Kirby had a mental illness, I'm sure of it. He was out of his mind. The first day it took about 15 people to get him to the bathing area. In the process, he almost broke my leg off, knocked my throat into Kenzie's shoulder, and knocked my step dad Mark down resulting in a bloody elbow, along with many bruises.
I was so nervous for her, theres so much to remember!
Shake the judges hand when you come out
Hold your hand behind your back
Keep eye contact with the judge
Stay with Kirby
Don't run after Kirby
I don't know what I was worrying about, she was awesome!!!

First day she was awarded 4th place in breed. The next day was showmanship, she didn't place in that (it might of had something to do with Kirby starting fights). Saturday was the big day! It was the auction. She woke up Saturday morning puking. She hasn't been sick in YEARS, just our luck. So we got her ready and started the 45min drive to the fairgrounds vomiting into a trash can the whole way. Poor baby girl.

Time for Kirby to get auctioned off finally came. The bidding started at $2. She ended up with $10Lb for 260lb Kirby! (he lost a few lbs since the last post) Holla! My Brother Chad did some 'politicing' as my dad calls it and got my dad and a few friends to go in on buying him. Kenz perked up after that. As soon as we started our drive home the vomiting resumed.

I'm sure you have heard me talk about Nie Nie. She was badly burned in a plane crash. Check out this video about her life. She is truly inspirational. Its like 9 min long but its worth seeing.

Bacon Anyone?

Kenzie raised a pig this year and next week she'll be showing Kirby (the pig) at the Maricopa County Fair. Pretty exciting huh? Let's just hope Kirby cooperates. He's a little head strong to stay the least. He likes to scream when life isn't going his way. Along with Kirby minding his manners I also am hoping my 50 lb Kenz can hold her own in the 'ring' again 265 lb Kirby.

Miss Priss

Accessories are important.
Malloree's very most inmportant accessory rule
Always wear 2 pairs of dangling earrings.
Second rule,
Never, ever go anywhere without your Dorothy shoes.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Malloree. Need I say more?
I don't know how I'm going to survive her teenage years.

Gemini Traits
For those with a Gemini child, get ready for a ride! These kids can be sweet, cooperative little angles one moment and infuriating monsters the next. Gemini children are very verbal and soak information in like sponges. They therefore tend to master the art of communication quite early, often displaying knowledge beyond their years. This is a high-strung child with a lot of pent-up energy, so don't be surprised if your 6 year old Gemini claims to have "tension headaches" or other physical complaints beyond his years. The Gemini child will not particularly like the rigors of school, but it is likely that he will know to turn on the charm to bluff his way through parts of it. Though he has the intellect to excel in school, it's just not in little Gemini to follow things through to completion, so he will rarely be at the top of his class. Giving him a rich environment at home will help offset this, so be sure to introduce him to nature, sports, music, and reading early on, and also provide stimulation via computers and video games to help broaden his exploratory nature and hold his interest. Gemini kids seem to have a conflict between emotions and intellect, and this can manifest in a variety of ways, often in strange eating habits. Your Gemini might love only red jelly beans or want peanut butter on bread with no jelly and nothing to drink. If you ask about this type of thing, he will blithely tell you that the red ones give him strength or that he has exceptional salivary glands - in his own mind, he is perfectly justified in his choices regardless of how absurd they seem to everyone else. Your best bet is to keep the multi-vitamins handy for these little ones! With regard to other family members, Gemini will entertain and delight and generally get along fine with everyone, unless someone comes along that takes away his limelight, such as a younger sibling. In this case, your little Gemini may turn into a tormenter of this sibling for years to come, and this can be very difficult to control.

All her! Except for the school part cuz shes kind of a genius.

Love her!!

Mr Ed

I'm stressing. Its really the most ridiculous reason to stress.
We had a friend take our family photos on Friday, she had Nick and I do some lovey dovey shots. Nick being the comedian he is made me start laughing, not a cute little giggle but really laugh. There's a huge problem with me really laughing. My humungous gums and itty bitty teeth. The reason my teeth are itty bitty is I grind those babies all night long.
The photographer puts little sneak peeks of the pics she takes and I just know she's gonna put a peek of my handsome husband and his perfect teeth and me and my gummy smile on her blog for all of the world to see!! Ugh
